It's Africas Turn
Economic growth in the large continent south of Europe is taking off. And it is here the greatest growth will take place in the next 20 years, a Danish investment firm told national daily Morgenavisen Jyllandsposten. DI also sees the successes spread like rings in water when it comes to investment on the African continent.
A group of Danish investors are increasingly focusing on the African continent. An example is the Africa Investment company that is developing Africa’s largest rapeseed farm at about the size of the Danish island of Falster. The project involves a number of products that Danish companies can supply including tractors, combine harvesters, squeezing machines, electrical systems, generators and other equipment for agricultural production.
“Although we have had many years of many stories about failed investment and activities in Africa, we are now clearly beginning to hear about success stories similar to the one that the African Investment project has got going,” explains DI Senior Adviser Peter Thagesen.
He points to the fact that a group of African countries now have higher growth rates than previously.
